6x6 Wet Tap Job in Hibbing

6x6 Wet Tap Job in Hibbing image

We made the trip up to Hibbing for a 6x6 wet tap - and this one was a good reminder of why experience matters on jobs like this.

A wet tap lets you tie into an existing pressurized water main without shutting down the line. No service interruption. No waiting for a shutdown window. The work gets done, and everything around it keeps running. That's a big deal on active utility systems where downtime isn't really an option.

A job this size takes the right equipment and the right crew. The fitting has to be properly seated, the valve has to be aligned, and the tapping machine has to be run with a steady hand. There's no margin for error when you're working on a live pressurized line.

We've done enough of these to know the details that make the difference - proper torque on the saddle bolts, clean cuts, and making sure everything is tight before we ever pull the machine off. It's not flashy work, but it has to be done right.

Wet taps are one of our core services, and we're set up to handle them across a range of pipe sizes. Whether it's a smaller tie-in or something like this 6-inch, we come ready to get it done safely and keep the job moving.
